Life is absurd, and that’s where the magic happens. It’s in the chaos, the quirks, and the unexpected that we find our truest selves. Embrace the weirdness, challenge the norms, and dive into the messiness. Sometimes the best way to connect with ourselves and others is to laugh at the absurdity and uncover what makes us uniquely human.
Our relationships, both with others and ourselves, shape so much of who we are. In therapy, I strive to create a space where you can explore these connections in a way that feels true to you—whether that means deepening intimacy, addressing communication challenges, navigating sexual and identity concerns, or simply finding a place to be yourself without judgment.
Therapy works best when the conversations and meaning-making extend beyond our sessions. Therapy is just one of many avenues for exploration, experimentation, and creating new possibilities for yourself and your relationships. That's why finding the right therapist for you is so important. My goal is to help you navigate the complexities of your world with a sense of purpose, connection, and self-compassion. I’m here to support you in embracing your imperfections and exploring new ways of being that align with your authentic self. And I don’t just encourage it—I show up fully as my own flawed, authentic self in our sessions. Modeling imperfection allows us both to embrace being human as part of the therapeutic process.
In our sessions, we’ll blend expressive and playful techniques with deep, meaningful exploration. I draw from experiential, narrative, and existential approaches, creating a space where emotional expression is not only welcomed but celebrated. I find that humor and creative expression are two of the best ways to confront and challenge ourselves, providing fresh perspectives and new ways of engaging with our relationships. I enjoy bringing these elements into our work, using playful activities, artistic expression, and collaborative homework assignments to make our sessions interactive. You’ll find our time together flows organically, making room for both serious reflection and light-hearted moments.
As a queer and Black biracial therapist, I bring an intersectional, feminist approach to our work together. I’m committed to creating an affirming therapeutic space for diverse identities and experiences, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, those in non-monogamous relationships, and anyone navigating unique personal challenges. I earned my B.A. in Gender and Women’s Studies and completed my M.A. in Couples and Family Therapy from Adler University, along with a certificate in Sex Therapy. My prior experience includes work in reproductive healthcare, non-profit organizational development, and DEI training, which enriches my clinical approach.
I’m also a COVID-conscious therapist, dedicated to ensuring a safe, supportive space for you.
